Waterloo Cup 1851
The sixteenth running of the Waterloo Cup took place from Tuesday 25th February 1851 and had prize money of £800. The entry conditions for the race required 32 subscribers to subscribe their nomination at £25 each. It supported the twelfth running of the Grand National at nearby Aintree. The winner, Hughie Graham, was owned by Mr W Sharpe, while the runner-up Staymaker was owned by Lord Sefton.
